Medical Outside Scheduler

What you'll do

• Schedule appointments with specialists, hospitals, imaging centers, laboratories, and other providers
• confirm appointment details and preparation instructions
• prioritize urgent requests and communicate barriers
• coordinate non-emergency transportation and escorts as needed
• notify participants and authorized representatives of appointment details and changes
• resolve scheduling conflicts
• follow up on referrals, authorizations, and confirmations
• update service authorizations
• maintain accurate records in electronic health record and scheduling systems
• occasionally request, receive, scan, upload, and index outside medical records
• protect confidential information and follow HIPAA and PACE requirements.
