This hands-on senior accounting role supports accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and timely month-end close. It maintains the integrity of the Museum’s financial records through accounting operations, review and analysis, compliance support, process improvement, and supervision of the Accountant.

What you'll do

• Supervise, train, and guide the Accountant
• review accounting work
• coordinate workflow and deadlines
• maintain the general ledger
• prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• support month-end and year-end close
• prepare bank reconciliations
• oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• prepare sales tax filings
• assist with grant reporting, audits, and Form 990 preparation
• improve accounting processes and internal controls.
