Senior Staff Accountant

Job overview

The Senior Staff Accountant is an onsite role in Troy, MI, paying $60,000–$70,000 per year. NeuLife Rehabilitation provides rehabilitation and residential services for people with traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injuries, and neurological disorders. The accountant independently manages assigned general ledger and close activities and supports accurate financial reporting across the organization. The role strengthens financial controls and processes while providing analysis and accounting support to Finance colleagues and business partners.

What you'll do

• Manage assigned general ledger activities
• prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjustments
• own bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
• lead assigned monthly, quarterly, and year-end close components
• prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
• support budgeting and forecasting
• oversee or perform assigned accounting processes
• coordinate audit requests
• prepare or coordinate tax filings and regulatory reports
• maintain internal controls and procedures
• evaluate accounting processes and systems
• provide accounting guidance and technical support.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and four or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience. CPA or CPA-eligible status preferred but not required.
