Solar Field Service Technician II, Utility-Scale PV Repair

The Solar Field Service Technician II, Utility-Scale PV Repair role is an onsite, 100% travel position based from Los Angeles, CA; compensation is $28–$40 per hour. The role supports Pearce’s maintenance and repair services for utility-scale solar farms. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains utility-scale photovoltaic systems and related power-plant equipment, helping ensure safe, high-quality work and reliable operations at customer sites.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits
• perform LOTO, IV curve tracing, insulation testing, and IR scans
• assign and track work
• perform solar plant operations and maintenance
• inspect completed work for quality and safety
• enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements
• document work orders and service logs
• maintain company vehicle and tools
• train and support junior technicians.
