The Early Head Start Teacher (Infants) role is onsite in Kearney, NE, with pay of $17.33–$25.37 per hour. The position supports the Early Head Start infant room for children from birth to 18 months. The teacher provides daily developmentally appropriate classroom experiences that encourage children’s curiosity, initiative, problem-solving, creativity, and sense of belonging. The role also supports children’s development through curriculum, family engagement, screenings, and safe classroom practices.

What you'll do

• Provide developmentally appropriate activities and implement active-learning curriculum
• plan and manage classroom lessons
• complete home visits and parent/staff conferences
• implement oral health practices
• track attendance and ensure developmental, social-emotional, and speech screenings and growth assessments are completed
• maintain a safe playground and update center inventory.

Why this role

CDA is the minimum requirement; candidates with a high school diploma who commit to obtaining a CDA may be considered as Teacher Assistants. Additional compensation is available for candidates with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
