Demonstrates clinical expertise in caring for patients within the perioperative setting, and practices accordance to AORN standards by maintaining CNOR certification.
What you'll do
- Registered Nurse with both administrative and clinical accountability to designated service area.
- Collaborates with Director to plan budget, staffing needs, and oversee competency of nursing staff in the CVOR.
- Provides leadership in growth and development of new services in area(s) of clinical leadership.
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in caring for patients within the perioperative setting, and practices accordance to AORN standards by maintaining CNOR certification.
- If Registered Nurse functions in the role of Registered Nurse First Assistant after meeting credentialing criteria and carries out functions that will assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.
- The RNFA practices under the supervision of the surgeon during the first assisting phase of the intraoperative role.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning , directing, and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the N.H.
- Nurse Practice Act, recognized nursing techniques, and both clinical and administrative policies.
- Provides leadership and clinical support to staff and serves as management representative for the CVOR.
- The Clinical Coordinator working in the CVOR will be required to participate in unit based CQI initiatives.
