The Cook — Independent Dining role is onsite in Media, PA. Pay is $18.80–$21.06 per hour. Riddle Village is a lifecare retirement community serving active, independent adults and providing dining and care services to residents. Working under the Production Manager, the cook prepares menu items according to dietary and production sheets, recipes, portion controls, schedules, sanitation standards, and serving procedures. The role helps keep kitchen operations efficient and supports the community’s dining services.

What you'll do

• Use production sheets to determine preparation quantities and complete prep for the next day’s menu
• open kitchen facilities on the AM shift or close and secure equipment and goods on the PM shift
• maintain sanitation and housekeeping
• follow employee meal policies and procedures
• report food needs to the Production Manager
• help the kitchen function efficiently
• follow safety standards
• attend nutrition and dietary training and daily production meetings
• supervise kitchen workers in the Production Manager’s absence.
