Veterinary Student Externship

The Veterinary Student Externship is onsite at small-animal general practice locations in St. Paul, MN, Champlin, MN, Myrtle Beach, SC, Spencer and Charlton, MA, and Gurnee, Orland Park, and Schaumburg, IL. Pay is $10–$15 per hour for time in the hospital; some travel and housing stipends are available. The externship provides hands-on learning and individualized mentorship in a collaborative veterinary practice. Externs can develop their clinical and professional understanding, with guidance that may include surgery, treatments, or the business side of veterinary medicine.
