Counselor II/III — Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment

The Counselor II/III — Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment role is onsite in Colony, KS, inside a state prison. Pay is $32 per hour. Amity Foundation’s prison and re-entry programs provide rehabilitative programming and support community reintegration. The counselor delivers face-to-face programming and individual sessions, tracks participant progress, and documents services. The role contributes to treatment and rehabilitation by facilitating evidence-based classes and supporting participants’ release-prevention and action planning.

What you'll do

• Facilitate cognitive behavioral intervention classes using standardized, evidence-based curriculum
• conduct classes and individual sessions
• develop release-prevention or action plans and provide make-up work
• evaluate and document participant progress
• record programming services in ARMS
• reinforce group norms
• collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS, institution, and contracted staff.
