Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager role is onsite in Edgewood, IL. Compensation is $17–$19 per hour. The position supports day-to-day operations at a convenience store and steps in as acting manager when the Store Manager is away. The role exists to help keep the store staffed, stocked, clean, and customer-focused across its operating shifts. It contributes to store performance by supporting employees, customer service, inventory, merchandising, scheduling, and cash-handling activities.

What you'll do

• Support the Store Manager with daily operations
• operate the register and assist customers
• coach team members on product and promotion upselling
• help hire, train, and lead staff
• act as manager when the Store Manager is off
• handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising
• maintain store and exterior cleanliness
• create team schedules
• handle cash, deposits, and store financials
• provide feedback and leadership to the team.
