The Machinist role is onsite in Sparks, NV. Pay is $23 per hour and up, depending on experience. The position is with a manufacturing company and supports Hose Master’s industrial hose production work. The machinist prepares parts for welding and fabrication, operates machining equipment, and assists with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance. Precision machining and material handling help prepare components for production.

What you'll do

• Plan machining methods and cutting and finishing sequences
• calculate workpiece forming, speed, and feed
• select tools and materials
• mark workpieces
• operate mills, lathes, drill presses, and cutting equipment
• troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment
• maintain tooling and fixtures
• use a forklift or tow motor to move shipments and load or unload trucks.
