Library Courier Driver

Job overview

The Library Courier Driver role is onsite in Sarasota County, FL, with pay of $20 per hour and a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule. The driver supports Sarasota County Public Libraries and Historical Resources. The role moves books, media, mail, and other materials between designated county locations. It helps library and historical-resource operations by completing assigned routes safely and promptly and assisting with Technical Services when routes finish early or the truck is being serviced.

What you'll do

• Drive a county courier truck with a lift gate
• pick up and deliver library and historical-resource materials
• complete routes safely and efficiently
• load and unload items up to 50 pounds
• monitor vehicle service needs and coordinate with Fleet
• assist with Technical Services when needed
• communicate professionally with library and county staff.
