The cook supports Accolade Healthcare’s resident dining services by preparing and serving meals according to residents’ dietary orders. The role helps provide appropriate meals and dining service by preparing food from recipes, following diet spreadsheets and resident orders, serving meals, maintaining food safety and sanitation, and supporting dining services staff when managers are absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to recipes and prepare food for service
• serve meals in appropriate dining rooms and present food attractively
• follow diet spreadsheets and resident dietary orders
• complete required paperwork
• set up dining areas after meals
• follow food storage, handling, sanitation, and kitchen-closing procedures
• report equipment repair needs and supply shortages
• communicate with staff, residents, families, and guests
• take charge of dining services staff when managers are absent.
