High School Program Lead Teacher

The High School Program Lead Teacher role is onsite in Madison, WI. Pay is $20.00 per hour. Lussier Community Education Center’s mission is building community, creating opportunities, and enriching education. The role supports high school students’ academic, physical, and social-emotional development through tutoring and out-of-school programming. It collaborates with the Buffett Scholars and Teen Programs Manager, families, schools, and community partners to develop and evaluate engaging activities.

What you'll do

• Design and lead learning experiences
• build relationships with youth and families
• support student recruitment and retention
• facilitate group activities and Youth Identity Groups
• help students problem-solve
• coordinate with schools and youth-serving organizations
• participate in planning meetings
• collect attendance and assist with reporting
• and engage interns, partners, and volunteers. The school-year schedule is typically Monday–Friday, 2:15–7:15 p.m., with expanded summer hours typically Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
• special events and field trips may require extended evenings and weekends.
