What you'll do

• Assist students in developing skills and knowledge for independent participation based on assessed needs
• collaborate with IEP team members, parents, teachers, and related-service providers
• assist teachers with assessing student needs, goals, objectives, functional levels, and motivation
• support assessment of short- and long-term needs
• help track student progress
• monitor behavior and support interventions
• assist with classroom crises and conflict resolution
• support academic success, social integration, and personal care
• provide behavior support, including physical management after training
• assist students who may be aggressive or disruptive
• maintain a calm, safe, and nurturing environment.
