Moving Team Lead

The team lead supervises crews, operates moving trucks, coordinates job activities, and maintains customer service and safety standards. The role also monitors workflow, labor expectations, and vehicle readiness to help complete moves efficiently, on schedule, and within operational expectations.

What you'll do

• Supervise movers and assign daily responsibilities
• conduct pre-job briefings, train crew members, and address operational concerns
• safely operate moving trucks and inspect vehicles
• ensure loads are secured and equipment is maintained
• communicate with customers and resolve or escalate concerns
• review work orders and coordinate loading and unloading
• protect customer property and complete required paperwork
• monitor schedules, labor hours, productivity, and job pacing
• identify additional service opportunities and obtain management approval before performing them
• verify payment arrangements and submit job documentation
• enforce safe lifting, OSHA, and company safety requirements. Requires a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, ability to operate box trucks, and ability to lift and move heavy items regularly with assistance. Flexible availability may include evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
• local and regional travel is part of the work.
