Direct Support Professional, Independent Contractor

Job overview

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in the Charlotte, NC area, with stated pay of $20.35 per hour and a schedule of Monday–Friday, 12 PM–4 PM, for 20 hours per week. InReach provides services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The professional provides community living and support services to an individual, assisting with daily living, social development, and community participation. The role also supports health and safety through medication assistance and transportation to programs and activities.

What you'll do

• Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments
• help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles
• facilitate community integration and healthy social habits
• dispense medication and monitor dosages
• transport and accompany the individual to day programs, work sites, and community activities.
