Lead Powder Coat Automation Technician

Lead Powder Coat Automation Technician is an onsite role in Carter Lake, IA, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; overtime on Fridays may be needed. Pay is $28–$40 per hour, depending on experience. The role leads PVF Finishing’s robotic powder coat line, the final finishing step for customer products. The technician leads the paint line team and oversees automated coating processes to meet quality and production expectations. The role contributes by maintaining equipment and process controls, resolving coating defects, and improving finish quality and efficiency.

What you'll do

• Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot robotic powder coat systems
• establish and enforce operating procedures
• diagnose coating defects and adjust system parameters
• perform color changes
• inspect finish quality and report non-conformances
• monitor equipment settings and complete SAP transactions
• coordinate line flow and staffing
• perform preventive maintenance and equipment testing
• clean paint booths
• train and lead the paint line team.
