The Shipfitter role is onsite in South Point, OH, on the first shift from 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Pay is $29 per hour. CDR General Services is seeking a shipfitter for work in an industrial environment. The role fits and assembles structural steel and marine components to shipbuilding specifications. It supports production quality and safety by preparing materials, checking dimensions, and coordinating with supervisors and team members to meet schedules.

What you'll do

• Read blueprints, drawings, and shipbuilding specifications
• measure, lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel and marine components
• prepare materials for welding and fabrication
• verify dimensions and fit-up
• operate hand and power tools, grinders, torches, and measuring equipment
• inspect completed work
• follow safety procedures
• maintain an organized work area
• collaborate to meet production schedules.
