Certified Medical Coder – Fully Remote

What you'll do

• Review assigned encounters and clinical documentation
• assign medical codes according to current guidelines, documentation standards, and organizational procedures
• validate documentation for missing, unclear, or conflicting information
• avoid unsupported assumptions
• escalate documentation gaps, guideline conflicts, and compliance concerns to team leads or supervisors
• maintain coding records and supporting documentation
• use EHR, coding, and workflow systems
• communicate workload status and questions
• participate in coding updates, training, and feedback. Active professional coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent is required.
