Lift Operator

The Lift Operator works onsite in Peninsula, OH, at a starting wage of $20.00 per hour. Vail Resorts provides mountain recreation and guest experiences, and this role supports the Lift Experience Team. The role helps deliver safe, friendly, and efficient guest travel on mountain lifts. The operator monitors passenger safety, manages loading and unloading, responds to equipment or emergency needs, and supports lift-area readiness and ticket scanning.

What you'll do

• Monitor passenger safety and provide instructions and customer service during lift loading and unloading
• adjust lift speed as needed
• operate the lift to meet capacity guidelines
• notify maintenance or dispatch of repair needs
• learn equipment operation with Lift Maintenance
• follow emergency procedures
• prepare and dismantle the lift maze
• follow company procedures
• maintain a safe, clean lift shack
• and train to support ticket scanning.
