The 988 Crisis Specialist – Chat/Text role is fully remote for candidates residing in Washington, Arizona, Ohio, or Texas. It is part-time, three days per week for 22.5 hours, on an after-hours or graveyard schedule. Pay is $26.79 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential. The role is part of Crisis Connections’ 988 Crisis Services Chat/Text Team, supporting people experiencing mental health crises. The specialist provides crisis intervention through chat and SMS, assesses risk, supports de-escalation, and helps people develop safety plans. The role also connects people with community resources, documents interactions, and collaborates with on-shift clinicians when higher-level intervention is needed.

What you'll do
