Tree Climber — Crew Leader

The Tree Climber — Crew Leader role is onsite in Hopkins, MN; compensation is $27–$35 per hour based on experience, skill level and responsibilities, with a possible sign-on bonus of up to $5,000. SavATree’s General Tree Care Team works to preserve trees and protect natural landscapes. The climber performs pruning, removals and cabling while applying safe climbing and equipment practices; the crew-lead opportunity adds responsibility for guiding the team and supporting quality, safety-focused service.

What you'll do

• Perform tree and shrub pruning, removals and cabling
• climb using proper techniques, ropes, saddle and ladders
• operate chainsaws, aerial lifts and other tree-care equipment
• apply ANSI A300 pruning standards and ANSI Z safety practices
• make proper pruning cuts
• assist with safe tree removals
• identify hazards and conduct safety checks
• perform aerial rescues if necessary
• communicate with team members and clients.
