What you'll do
- Supervise and direct approximately 10–16 sheet metal workers
- communicate job instructions, safety procedures, and project updates in English and Spanish if applicable
- interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, and project plans
- assign tasks and oversee assembly and installation of ductwork, flashing, panels, and other sheet metal components
- coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades
- conduct material take-offs and order supplies
- train and mentor crew members
- enforce company policies and OSHA regulations
- conduct weekly toolbox safety talks
- troubleshoot installation and fabrication issues.
