Construction Materials Testing Technician

Job overview

The Construction Materials Testing Technician role is onsite in East Syracuse, NY, with compensation of $20–$25 per hour. CME Associates provides construction materials evaluation and technical support services, and this position supports commercial construction projects through on-site testing. The technician performs quality assurance tests and documents results so project teams can assess material quality and compliance with project requirements. The role includes day trips throughout the Greater Syracuse area and professional development toward industry certifications.

What you'll do

• Test soils, concrete, and other construction materials at commercial job sites
• interpret construction drawings and specifications
• follow applicable standards and industry best practices
• document and report findings
• communicate project progress and test outcomes to supervisors
• pursue preparation for ACI and ICC certifications.
