The Water Distribution Crew Foreman is an in-person field role based in Beltsville, MD, with primary jobsites in Montgomery County and Prince George’s County, Maryland, and secondary sites in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Pay is $38–$42 per hour. Skoda Contracting is expanding its water utility operations. The foreman directs daily water utility construction and maintenance work while remaining hands-on, helping ensure safe, efficient work that meets project specifications, client standards, and regulations. The role connects field crews with project management and supports quality, production, and crew development.

What you'll do

• Lead crew members on water main, service line, valve, hydrant, and related utility construction and repair
• organize daily tasks, staffing, and equipment
• assign work and enforce safety practices, OSHA requirements, and trench safety
• establish safe work zones and traffic control
• interpret plans, utility maps, and specifications
• resolve jobsite issues and escalate as needed
• monitor quality and production and report progress
• train crew members
• coordinate with inspectors, clients, and utility representatives
• maintain field reports, time records, and material logs
• perform skilled labor and operate equipment as required.
