Composite Prototype Technician

Job overview

The Composite Prototype Technician role is onsite in Irvine, CA; pay is $27–$40 per hour. Urbineer develops and prototypes advanced lightweight structures and supports internal research and development programs and industry customers. The technician fabricates and inspects composite parts and assemblies, providing manufacturing feedback to engineering and supporting development of composite processing techniques. The work contributes to prototyping lightweight structures and next-generation systems.

What you'll do

• Laminate composite parts to work instructions and drawings
• provide manufacturing feedback to engineering
• support development of composite processing techniques
• inspect laminates
• trim and finish assemblies
• prepare surfaces
• perform composite bonding and fastener assembly.
