The Community Ambassador role is onsite at World Relief’s Chicago office, with compensation of $23–$25 per hour. The position is part-time at 20 hours per week, with flexible weekday hours and evenings or weekends as needed based on community schedules. World Relief is a Christian humanitarian organization focused on humanitarian response, community resilience, and refugee and immigrant services and advocacy. The ambassador connects World Relief with immigrant communities by gathering feedback, sharing information about policies and resources, and helping newcomers access services. The role also supports educational activities, outreach, community relationships, and accurate program documentation.

What you'll do

• Conduct community outreach and follow up on needs and referrals
• help newcomers navigate resources
• collect and share community feedback
• update the team on available resources
• participate in educational and networking activities
• support workshops, events, and classes
• create resources in target languages
• promote World Relief at community events
• collaborate with ambassadors and programs
• document activities, outcomes, and follow-up
• maintain client files and case notes.
