The Podiatrist works onsite in Mashpee, MA, one day per month from 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Pay is $190–$200 per hour. The role supports the Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit. The podiatrist provides foot care, including diabetic exams, treatment of skin and nail conditions, and assessment of neuropathy and gait abnormalities. The role also supports proper fitting and follow-up for prescribed diabetic shoes and inserts.

What you'll do

• Perform routine diabetic foot exams
• debride nails, calluses, ulcerations, and other skin lesions
• treat foot infections or ulcerations with antibiotics
• diagnose and treat peripheral neuropathy and diabetic-related gait abnormalities
• prescribe functional or accommodative orthoses, diabetic shoes, and inserts
• follow up on adjustments and fit concerns and prescribe replacements when appropriate.

Why this role

Requires a current, full, unrestricted U.S. license to practice and current Basic Life Support certification. At least five years of post-residency podiatry experience is required. The clinician must bring the equipment, materials, and supplies needed for visits.
