The role contributes to treatment and stabilization through monitoring, medication administration, diagnostics, procedures, client education, and accurate records.

What you'll do

• Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients, including monitoring, medications, venipuncture, and feeding
• triage patients and obtain histories
• assist with stabilization, including CPR
• collect and prepare samples
• perform radiographic positioning and safety procedures
• administer medications and monitor fluid and drug therapy
• assist veterinarians with diagnostics, procedures, and surgery
• educate pet owners
• maintain records and communicate updates
• participate in continuing education.
