The Registered Nurse (RN), Inpatient Adult Psychiatry – Day role is onsite in Brattleboro, VT. Pay is $40.56–$61.59 per hour. The position supports the Brattleboro Retreat’s inpatient adult psychiatry department. The nurse uses the nursing process to provide complex care, administer medication, and help maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Working with a multidisciplinary team, the RN contributes to individualized care planning, patient safety, education, and clinical supervision of mental health workers.

What you'll do

• Assume charge nurse responsibilities for a shift
• assess, implement, and evaluate patient and family care
• administer medication
• participate in maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu
• intervene in crisis situations and document as appropriate
• perform assigned patient observations and safety procedures
• contribute to multidisciplinary care plans, education, and performance improvement.
