The Program Innovation & AI Literacy Specialist is an onsite, full-time AmeriCorps service position based in Oxon Hill, MD, supporting IMPACTdmv’s IMPACT Your Acceptance programs. Compensation is not specified. IMPACTdmv prepares students for college and careers through college access, workforce development, and AI literacy programming. Under staff supervision, the member facilitates youth workshops, coaches student leaders, supports college and career readiness, and helps maintain program records and approved AI-supported workflows. The role contributes to students’ preparation for college, careers, and responsible participation in an AI-powered future while supporting program delivery and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Facilitate workshops for middle and high school students and families using approved curricula
• lead hands-on AI literacy, college readiness, career exploration, and leadership development sessions
• coach students preparing presentations and pitch competitions
• mentor student leaders and support club meetings
• connect students with appropriate support and educational opportunities under staff supervision
• help plan family workshops and program events
• collaborate with school staff, community stakeholders, and college volunteers
• maintain program calendars, trackers, attendance, participation, and completion records
• assist staff with approved AI tools and process improvements while protecting confidential information and student privacy.
