The role develops and reviews independent cost estimates and analyses for transportation and heavy civil projects, helping clients establish budgets, evaluate proposals, optimize designs, and make informed project decisions. It also supports estimating standards and practices and coordinates with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Develop cost-estimating practices, standards, procedures, and tools
• prepare independent estimates for professional services, design, construction, maintenance, operations, changes, and claims
• analyze consultant and contractor proposals
• estimate project budgets and support value engineering and feasibility decisions
• review estimates
• validate funding requests
• conduct construction market analysis
• improve estimating practices
• nurture client relationships.
