Junior Staff Accountant

Job overview

The Junior Staff Accountant role is hybrid in Washington, DC, with consistent work hours of 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and evening or weekend work as needed. The annual base salary is $55,000–$65,000. DSPolitical develops data- and technology-driven digital advertising campaigns for Democratic and progressive candidates, causes, and issues. The role supports daily financial processes and develops foundational accounting skills. It helps maintain accurate records and timely financial operations through transaction processing, close support, payroll assistance, and documentation for audits and reporting.

What you'll do

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable, invoice entry, vendor payments, and client receipts
• record transactions
• support month-end close
• maintain financial files
• respond to internal invoice and payment inquiries
• collect timesheets and validate payroll data
• provide audit documentation
• complete expense reports
• perform other assigned administrative and financial duties.
