Construction Engineering Technician

The Construction Engineering Technician role is onsite at NS Newport in Newport, RI; the listed compensation range is $100,000–$115,000. BB&E is a civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm supporting federal and private-sector projects; this position supports NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic facilities design and construction projects. The technician supports construction quality assurance, safety management, and technical coordination on assigned projects. The role helps monitor contractor work, document progress, coordinate reviews and inspections, and support project compliance and closeout.

• Coordinate construction quality assurance
• review quality-control plans and reports

• support testing and commissioning
• conduct safety assessments and review safety documentation
• coordinate permits, utilities, schedules, and submittals
• review field conditions and drawings
• and support inspections and project closeout.
