Production Scheduler

Job overview

The Production Scheduler role is onsite in Chicago, IL; compensation is not specified. The position supports Powell’s manufacturing operations by managing production schedules for engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and shipment. Working under the Master Scheduler’s guidance, this role develops and maintains master and project schedules, tracks progress and percentage-of-completion revenue, and reports schedule status. It analyzes critical paths and resource needs, identifies scheduling risks, and coordinates across departments to help meet customer commitments.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain master schedules and detailed project schedules
• monitor project progress and percentage-of-completion revenue
• provide weekly status reports
• facilitate interactive planning
• analyze activity durations, logic sequences, and critical paths
• review staffing and resource needs
• identify project scheduling problem areas
• coordinate across departments to support customer commitments
• use Primavera Planner, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Oracle.

Why this role

Requires at least three years of project controls experience and proficiency in Primavera Planner (P3), with experience using Primavera P6 specified. A bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience are required, or seven years of progressive relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
