Fleet Mechanic

The Fleet Mechanic role is an onsite position based in O Fallon, IL, with a base pay range of $29.00/hr to $37.00/hr. This role supports the US Foods fleet maintenance team by ensuring the safety and reliability of company equipment. The primary purpose of this role is to perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers. The mechanic documents repairs using a tablet system and maintains a clean, safe work environment in compliance with DOT and company standards.

What you'll do

• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
