Diesel Mechanic

The Diesel Mechanic role is an onsite position located in New Berlin, WI. Compensation is specified as $30-$40/hr, with additional pay available based on experience, certifications, and skill level, supporting the GFL Environmental fleet maintenance department. This role exists to ensure the safety and reliability of the company's heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. The mechanic is responsible for performing daily inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, and executing repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and braking systems to keep the fleet road-ready.

What you'll do

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
