What you'll do

• Stand lookout watch
• assist the Captain or Mate with vessel operations
• perform deck and engineering maintenance and housekeeping
• operate deck gear including winches, cranes, and A-frames
• start and secure propulsion and generator engines
• stow and secure equipment or cargo
• transfer fuel, ballast, and liquid cargo safely
• perform preventative maintenance and underway repairs
• log maintenance and repairs
• maintain critical spares inventory
• report incidents and safety concerns.
