Project Accounting & Procurement Technician

Job overview

The Project Accounting & Procurement Technician role is onsite in Rio Rancho, NM. Compensation is $24.52 per hour. The position supports an operations contract with the City of Rio Rancho and works with City finance and procurement personnel, project managers, operations staff, and vendors. The technician coordinates purchasing and accounting processes, tracks expenditures, and maintains accurate financial records using the City’s Infor/CentralSquare NaviLine system. This work supports operational and financial objectives while helping ensure procurement activity follows City requirements and standards.

What you'll do

• Create and submit purchase requisitions in Infor/CentralSquare NaviLine
• verify account coding, project numbers, budget availability, and documentation
• track approvals, purchase orders, and payments
• reconcile received goods and services with purchase orders and invoices
• maintain procurement and financial records
• monitor expenditures and account balances
• prepare financial and budget reports
• assist with invoice review, accounts payable, reconciliations, audits, and compliance reviews
• coordinate with vendors and City staff
• maintain spreadsheets and business documents
• support budget tracking and year-end activities.
