Special Education Teacher

Job overview

The Special Education Teacher role is onsite in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is $45–$55 per hour. Pediatric Developmental Services partners with schools and communities to provide teachers and pediatric therapists who support children’s educational progress. The teacher develops and delivers individualized instruction and supports each student’s progress toward educational goals. Collaboration with families, school staff, and therapists helps maintain a safe classroom and coordinate student support.

What you'll do

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans for students
• communicate student progress and challenges to staff and families
• prepare lesson plans for administrator approval
• participate in scheduled IEP meetings
• use individualized reinforcement techniques
• invite families to participate in educational progress
• prepare quarterly progress reports
• consult with onsite therapists about behavioral and disciplinary issues
• create a safe, productive classroom.
