Correctional Dental Assistant

The Correctional Dental Assistant is an onsite, contract position supporting the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) through WSi Healthcare Personnel. What you'll do

• Provide chairside assistance during general dentistry procedures
• Prepare treatment areas, instruments, and materials
• Obtain digital dental X-rays
• Set up and assist with restorative procedures
• Select and pass instruments
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Maintain proper infection-control practices
• Follow radiation safety and exposure-control procedures
• Handle and dispose of biohazardous waste
• Assist with dental clinic scheduling and operations
• Maintain tool, chemical, and supply controls
• Educate patients on preventive dental care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
