The Advanced Chemical Associate, Chemical Technician role is onsite in Cullman, AL, on second shift. Compensation is $29.58–$32.44 per hour. The role supports the Precision Structures & Optics team at General Dynamics Mission Systems, which manufactures beryllium products for aerospace, defense, and nuclear applications. The technician processes and protects manufacturing parts through chemical finishing and related operations, following approved instructions and quality criteria. Careful handling, inspection, traceability, and safety practices help ensure components meet process requirements for demanding mission applications.

What you'll do

• Perform chemical cleaning, etching, stripping, coating, passivation, anodizing, plating, and other surface treatments
• prepare, rack, fixture, and mask parts
• operate and monitor processing equipment
• support thermal and temperature-controlled processes as assigned and qualified
• clean and package completed parts
• protect components from contamination and damage
• follow drawings and process instructions
• inspect parts and report defects or process issues
• maintain traceability
• safely handle chemicals and controlled waste
• use required PPE
• follow environmental, health, safety, and emergency procedures
• support spill response
• train or assist new personnel after qualification.
