The Chemical Operator role is onsite at Nexpera’s Fort Hill site in North Bend, OH. Compensation is not specified. Nexpera regenerates sulfuric acid and potassium hydroxide and produces sulfur-based chemicals and related services. The operator monitors and runs plant equipment and facilities while maintaining product quality, following operating procedures, and upholding safety requirements. Work takes place in the control room, laboratory, and plant operations, including response to abnormal or emergency conditions.

What you'll do

• Operate, monitor, and control plant and mobile equipment
• inspect system conditions
• respond to abnormalities
• follow and, if qualified, review or revise procedures
• prepare equipment for maintenance through isolation, clearing, and lockout
• operate boilers
• train new operators
• start up and shut down systems
• troubleshoot and stabilize equipment
• analyze charts and logs
• perform laboratory sample analysis
• complete shipping and clerical duties as required
• load and unload railcars, tank trucks, and totes.
