What you'll do

• Assign accurate medical record numbers
• complete medical necessity and compliance checks
• provide patient instructions
• collect insurance information and process physician orders
• operate the telephone switchboard as applicable
• conduct account audits and report findings
• pre-register patients and obtain demographic and insurance information
• discuss financial liabilities and payment options
• explain and distribute consent and patient education forms
• review insurance eligibility and enter benefit data
• screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute designated forms.
