What you'll do

• Provide individual, family, and caregiver counseling using trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate approaches, including play-based interventions when appropriate
• complete clinical assessments and develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• provide crisis intervention and flexible clinical support through placement and family transitions
• coordinate care with program staff, families, schools, medical providers, courts, and community partners
• and maintain accurate clinical, billing, and Medicaid documentation. Regular travel between the Danville and Lynchburg service areas is expected
• some evening and weekend hours are required.

Why this role

Requires a master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related behavioral health field and an unrestricted Virginia LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license. Registered Play Therapist credential or specialized play therapy training and Spanish bilingual ability are preferred.
