Activity Assistant

Job overview

The Activity Assistant role is onsite in Florissant, MO; pay is $12.50 per hour. The assistant supports the Activity Director at Rancho Rehab and Healthcare Center in implementing a quality activity program for residents. The role helps residents participate in group and individual activities suited to their care plans and abilities. By leading activities, supporting outings, and maintaining activity records and calendars, the assistant contributes to resident engagement and the facility’s activity program.

What you'll do

• Assist residents to, from, and during activities
• record attendance and participation
• lead assigned group and individual activities
• maintain volunteer records
• coordinate arts and crafts
• review activity care plans and provide consistent activities
• assist with seasonal and holiday decorating
• provide activity calendars
• support resident birthday recognition
• participate in outings and special events as requested
• escort residents to outside appointments as needed
• monitor the resident store as needed
• report incidents, injuries, suspected abuse, and facility issues
• attend required meetings and in-services.
