CNC Mill Machinist — Houston, TX

The CNC Mill Machinist role is onsite in Houston, TX, with pay of $22–$28 per hour. The role sets up and operates vertical machining centers, interprets prints, proves out parts, and inspects production to meet specified tolerances. Its work supports reliable, quality output in a high-mix, low-volume shop, with regular overtime expected and occasional early starts or Saturday work possible.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate 3-axis vertical machining centers, including 4th-axis work as needed
• read blueprints, GD&T callouts, and routers
• select tooling, set offsets, and build fixtures or soft jaws
• run first-article parts and establish setups
• edit G-code and write simple machine programs
• inspect parts and complete inspection records
• identify nonconforming material
• follow ISO 9001 procedures and material traceability requirements
• perform daily machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
