School Programs Navigator - Bilingual Preferred

The School Programs Navigator works onsite in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Pay is $20.96–$22.04 per hour. The role supports Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains’ refugee and asylee programs, which help newly arrived refugees work toward self-sufficiency and community integration. The navigator coordinates school-based support for refugee youth, working with students, families, school districts, and community partners. Through instructional reinforcement, mentorship, parent engagement, and referrals, the role contributes to student success and family integration.

What you'll do

• Support school programs that may include classroom assistance, after-school tutoring, and summer language programming
• work with individual students or small groups to reinforce classroom instruction
• maintain partnerships with school administrators, teachers, and community partners
• engage parents and families in learning and school opportunities
• provide career counseling to a select group of students
• track outcomes and prepare required reports
• ensure services meet agency, state, accrediting, and HIPAA standards
• maintain required transportation credentials and insurance
• travel regionally and potentially transport clients in a personal vehicle.
