Subsurface Utility Engineering Project Manager

The Subsurface Utility Engineering Project Manager role is onsite in Longmont, CO, with compensation of $85,000–$120,000 per year. The position supports Safe Site Utility Services’ SUE, utility locating, and damage prevention work; travel to project sites throughout Colorado is required. The project manager coordinates utility investigation projects from records research and field work through mapping and final deliverables. The role keeps teams, clients, utility owners, and jurisdictions aligned on scope, schedule, safety, quality, and project requirements.

What you'll do

• Manage SUE projects across Quality Levels D, C, B, and A
• develop schedules and coordinate field crews
• communicate with clients about scope, schedule, access, constraints, deliverables, and status
• coordinate records, permits, and access with Colorado 811, utility owners, municipalities, agencies, and jurisdictions
• track scope, budget, labor, subcontractors, and schedule
• review field documentation and CAD deliverables
• coordinate Quality Level A test-hole activities
• support QA/QC and safety compliance
• participate in project meetings.
